HAND’s 26th Annual Meeting & Housing Expo
June 20, 2017 | 8 AM – 3 PM
Omni Shoreham Hotel & Conference Center
2500 Calvert St NW, Washington, DC 20008
HAND’s 2017 Annual Meeting & Housing Expo was one for the books! Themed “Beyond Gentrification, Toward Equitable Communities,” this year’s conference convened the largest gathering of affordable housing and community development professionals in the Washington, DC metropolitan region.
The day launched with its morning Plenary session hosted by HAND and the Housing Leaders Group, titled “Gentrification in Washington and the Surrounding Region: Causes, Consequences, and Equitable Growth Strategies.” This dynamic program featured an informative presentation and robust discussion on the hot topic of gentrification with industry leaders from across the region. There was also no shortage of networking as the Housing Expo included its first ever Networking Power Hour hosted by Generation HAND! The Expo hall was chock full of exhibitors from across our industry. The day closed with the signature Awards Luncheon, which included a candid Fireside Chat with five of the region’s premier affordable housing thought leaders. The luncheon also honored the extraordinary work of our Housing Achievement Awardees and Children’s Art Contest winners.
Thank you to all of our sponsors, members, partners and guests who played a role in this year’s Annual Meeting & Housing Expo. We look forward to you joining us again next year!
