Arlington County’s Housing Assistance Bureau (HAB) located in the Department of Human Services provides a full menu of housing programs for low-income households, persons age 62 and over, persons with disabilities, and homeless individuals and families.┬áServices include rental assistance, homeless prevention and rapid re-housing, shelter and transition in place, permanent supportive housing and real estate tax relief. The county funded Housing Grants program and federally funded Housing Choice Voucher program provide rental assistance to over 2400 low-income households. HAB partners with community landlords who develop Committed Affordable Units with financial support from the Arlington County Housing Division.
