Training & Engagement
HAND’s Program Committee works diligently each year to gauge the professional development needs of those working to address housing affordability across the Capital Region of Baltimore, Washington and Richmond. Our robust training and capacity building schedule is released in the fall of each year, and offers a wide variety of educational sessions, networking opportunities and more.
Seminars that cover timely topics impacting housing affordability and community development.
Peer-to-peer sessions for members to share ideas, lessons learned and challenges specific to their job.
Educational forums designed to enhance job performance and customized to various career stages.
Annual events that provide opportunities for members to strengthen relationships, cultivate new partnerships and celebrate the innovative work of fellow colleagues throughout the region.
“Fireside Chat” style dialogues with industry leaders and volunteer opportunities, exclusively planned by the Braintrust Committee. These programs are designed specifically with the “emerging leader” in mind.
Sessions are free to current HAND members, with the exception of technical courses that are offered through professional training companies at a discounted rate. Non-members are charged a fee for all sessions, however you can always take advantage of our low-cost dues, and join the organization to receive free and discounted training for your entire organization!
